Maths
Maths homework will compose of regular practise of multiplication and division facts using ‘Times Tables Rockstars’ (https://ttrockstars.com/). Teachers will regularly monitor this and ensure children continue to improve pace and accuracy. The children have already been given usernames and password, but please let us know if they have lost their password as it is quick to supply a new one.
There are also other optional maths activities which the children can work through. These can be found on the Scarcroft School website https://www.scarcroft.york.sch.uk/scarcroft-maths/
- Click on the Maths Home Learning folder and scroll down to the ‘2019-20 Arithmetic Booklet’. These weekly arithmetic skills are essential for increased confidence and achievement in Year 6 mathematics. https://www.scarcroft.york.sch.uk/year-6-2/
- For those children who want an extra challenge, there are puzzles, problems and higher-level work available here: https://www.scarcroft.york.sch.uk/maths-challenges/
- transum.org provides a variety of topics and games which can be played free of charge.
