Welcome to Year 5!
Strike 4 Climate Change
On Friday 15th March, we learnt that Comic Relief was set up in 1985 originally to raise money to support people struggling through famine in Ethiopia. We found out that this region is still supported by the charity to this day and that one of the reasons it still needs help is because it is greatly affected by climate change. We discussed the Strike 4 Climate Change movement, made placards and, along with Year 6, joined in with Friday's strike for the final portion of the afternoon. We caught the attention of York's MP, Rachel Maskell and, on Monday, had the opportunity to ask questions.
