Year 4
Welcome to Year 4!
Twelfth Night at Shakespeare’s Rose Theatre
Year 4 enjoyed seeing Twelfth Night in a theatre designed to be how Shakespeare plays would have been performed. They particularly enjoyed the sword fighting and pulling down of pants!
Lord Mayor Visit
Year 4 had a visit from the Lord Mayor. She told us all about her role as Lord Mayor and her role as a councillor. We found out about her robes, her civic duties and the mansion house. The children were very interested in her stories of secret rooms and dead cats!

The children used a map and picture clues to learn about how the shops on the road have changed over time.
That’s York TV were also there to capture the excitement!
