These are just a few of the fabulous animal hand puppets that have been designed and made by Y2. If you have finished your hand puppet at home, we’d love to see a photo of it! Email photos to the address above and we can share them on our class pages.

Key Learning Tasks

Below are the key resources for home learning. We use the Classroom Secrets resources in school and the children are familiar with the content. They can be printed but can also be completed in their workbook with the children recording their answers next to the question number. At the bottom left hand of each page is a coloured star with either the letters D, E or GD. This refers to the level of the work, the children only need to complete the work at the appropriate level but could challenge themselves with the next level up. If your child struggles with the work you could look at the Year 1 resources first and come back to the Year 2 ones later. Similarly if your child needs more of a challenge try looking at the Year 3 resources. We hope this gives you are starting point for home learning but remember you do not have to fill your whole day with recorded tasks, sharing books, drawing, writing a diary, gardening and continuing a love of learning is just as important.
