This term our topic is superheroes!
We can't wait to see your superhero costumes on superhero dress up day: Friday 14th October.
The children are welcome to dress as any superhero who inspires them – or any real life superhero, for example, an important historical figure, a nurse, a firefighter. We can’t wait!

Zones Of Regulation
We revisited the Zones of Regulation this week. We discussed what emotions we might feel in each zone and what they look like.
Evil Pea At Large!
This week Evil Pea has been causing havoc in Year 1 - capturing our snacks. Year 1 made Wanted Posters and traps to capture Evil Pea. Their hard work paid off when Mr Oxley found Evil Pea on the stairs and captured him. We entrusted Evil Pea to Chef King to put back in the freezer because some vegetables are frozen for a very good reason...
CHIRP Week
During CHIRP we got to know our class and classroom through a 'Curious' treasure hunt.
As part of being 'Responsible', we discussed our school rules and decided what we want our classroom environments to be like.
As part of being 'Positive', we read the stories 'Ish' and 'The Girl Who Never Makes Mistakes', and wrote on stars things we planned to work hard to get better at this year.
We did our sports day and talked lots about how sport is an important part of keeping our bodies 'Healthy'.
We made amazing self-portraits based on the comic book style artist Roy Lichtenstein and talked about why we were 'Individuals'.
