Welcome to the Year 1 Home Learning Page

Additional resources;

Welcome to our Spring 2021 home learning page!

Each day we'll set you a maths task, a phonics challenge and another activity. This activity might be writing, art, PE, geography, history, RE, music or computing. We'd also like you to read to an adult and practise your handwriting every day. These activities are available on the stars below. To help you plan your time at home, we will upload a summary of key tasks each week. Please upload photographs of your completed work to Evidence Me. We would like to encourage all children to submit or share at least two pieces of maths and written work.

To kick start your school day, we will host a live daily phonics session via zoom at 9am. If you're unable to join at this time, the powerpoint will be available below. Please check your email for details for how to join. Please look out for additional zoom sessions throughout the week to support our topic and enable you to talk us and each other.

We also have a home-learning gallery for you to share your hard work with your friends at home. If you'd like your work to appear on there, please send us photos of what you've been up to, along with parental permission for these photos to be uploaded to this site.

Either Mrs McDonald or Mrs Marshall will be available each day for ALL children who are learning from home. They will be teaching in school on the alternative half of the week so you'll still get to see your class teacher. You can contact Mrs Marshall and Mrs McDonald directly by emailing: y1@scarcroft.southbank.academy

Please ask us any questions or just say hello!
