This Week's Assembly
Dear Children,
I have not made an assembly this week but would like to share this virtual assembly with you from Oak Academy. This week is Children's Mental Health Week. This is a really important time to recognise and raise awareness of the importance of Mental Health. This is something we have already talked about as part of CHIRP. When we talk about being Healthy we talk about healthy bodies and healthy minds.
This year's theme is 'Express Yourself'. This is about finding ways to share feelings, thoughts, or ideas, through creativity. This could be through art, music, writing and poetry, dance and drama, photography and film, and doing activities that make you feel good. This again fits with CHIRP when we talk about being an Individual.
As you learn more about Mental Health it is important to recognise how those around you are feeling, particularly at this time within your family. Think about how you can give your parents and siblings time to express themselves too.
I hope you enjoy this assembly. It is a bit longer than usual but there are some famous faces that you might recognise and enjoy seeing!
