Hi Year ones! This week's sound family focus will be working on 'oa'.

How many different alternative spellings of 'oa' can you think of? What does the split digraph spelling look like? Can you choose the right 'oa' to spell these words?

Which 'oa'?

Maths - week beginning Monday 11th May

This week the focus for our Maths is 'Fractions'.

We introduce fractions by using practical apparatus. Remember you can use fruit, slices of cake, slices of pizza,  lego pieces, sweets etc.

Fractions are just another way to say sharing between. Look at the bottom number of a fraction to see how many to share between. For example half means to split something in two, to share between two.

We can split shapes, objects and numbers into fractions.
