Sound Task 2 Make a String Telephone
Watch the BBC video below to find out more about Alexander Graham Bell and his interest in sound. His interest in sound led him to invent the telephone.
Graham Alexander Bell was in a race to have his telephone invention patented (law protects inventions) first.
Lewis Howard Latimer was an accomplished draftsman (a person who draws plans and sketches), who Bell hired, to draw plans for his telephone invention. By working with Bell late into the night, Latimer was able to provide Bell with the blueprint drawings he needed to file his telephone patent on February 14, 1876 and win the race!
