A Letter from our Trust Principal - Forthcoming Retirement Plan
Notification of retirement
Date: 9/6/20
Author: Jo Edwards Trust Principal South Bank MAT
Purpose: To inform staff, governors, parents, education colleagues and community stakeholders
Dear Staff, Governors, Parents, Education Colleagues and Community Stakeholders,
After much deliberation I have decided to retire on 31st August 2020.
I have been in service as a teacher and school leader for over 35 years and feel that the moment has come to take things a little easier.
Since I was appointed in September 2018 as the Trust Principal for South Bank MAT I have very much enjoyed my role. It has been rewarding to see how the Trust and its Schools have grown and developed. Together we have enjoyed celebrating the successes of our pupils, staff and the communities we serve.
In the wake of what is a dreadful pandemic, there is a new and exciting chapter about to start for the world of education and the Trust. I believe, therefore, it is time for me to step aside to allow the MAT to plan for its long term future.
The Trust Board have well advanced plans in place to appoint an internal interim Trust Principal pending a permanent appointment.
I will of course continue to work with the usual passion and commitment for the benefit of the children we serve, until such time as I leave.
It has been an honour and a pleasure to work with you all and I wish you the very best for the future.
Kindest regards,
Jo Edwards
Trust Principal.
