National Poetry Day

We enjoyed learning about and studying the work of Valerie Bloom and then we used the ideas in 'Granny Is' to try and come up with our own poems about our families. Some of our work is now part of the display in the Red Corridor.

World Mental Health Day #helloyellow

We wore an item of yellow clothing to recognise this day and then thought about acts of kindness that we could show towards each other.

In 5B, we had an Acts of Kindness Challenge for the day - Miss Brooker very much enjoyed being complimented on her outfit for the day!

In 5WdS, we set ourselves a 100 Acts of Kindness Challenge for two weeks. We smashed our target with a day to go, having to use the space around the grid to record extra acts!

Halloween Fun Day!

Lots of us enjoyed dressing up for the day. We completed some Halloween-themed Maths and then escaped from a cage in a witch's house by using our pronoun skills. We also had a go at some spooky pictures and got involved with some silly Taskmaster-style challenges!

It's Christmas!

It may be a bit of a different Christmas to usual but we've still found things to enjoy at school. In particular, we enjoyed wearing our Chirstmas jumper on the 11th December and then making Christingles on the 17th.
