Our current topic is Minibeasts!

We started the topic by reading 'The Bog Baby' by Jeanne Willis. In the construction area, we have built a home for Bog Baby to live in. Look at the brilliant Bog Baby mansion! Some great co-operative building  

We have also been using clay to create our own minibeast creatures. First we designed them, then we used our hands to mould and shape the clay. It was hard work!

In spring, our first topic is British Isles. Where better to begin than at home? 

We have loved using mixed media in our art lessons to create these beautiful pictures. Can you guess which landmark in York we made?

Mrs Marshall says each one is completely unique - just like all of us!

We had a visit from a real superhero! Aqua Dan came to see us to teach us all about different superheroes. We learned about which powers they had, which weapons they used, and which ones had no powers at all!

We learned the superhero code and talked about how we might be able to be a superhero.
