Challenge 1: Addition on a Numberline
In Maths, we are learning to add a single-digit number to a two-digit number using a numberline.
Here's how we use a numberline to add 12 + 4:
We circle the first number (12):
To add 4, start at 12 and do 4 jumps forwards:
So 12 + 4 = 16

Challenge 2: Subtraction on a Numberline
In Maths, we are learning to subtract (take away) a single-digit number to a two-digit number using a numberline.
Here's how we use a numberline to solve 15 - 3 = :
We circle the first number (15):
To subtract (take away) 3, start at 15 and do 3 jumps backwards:
So 15 - 3 = 12
