Look back at your map of the British Isles – can you label the different countries, seas and capital cities. Can you find York?
What were you most amazed to discover about the British Isles? Write us a sentence about this on the bottom of your map. Remember your capital letters, finger spaces and full stops!

Have a look at your map of the world and the map of the British Isles? Ask you family where were you born? Find out about where different members of your family were born. Who was born the furthest from York? Can you label them all on the map.

Challenge 3 - Comparing the Isle of Coll with Koh Samui
Last week we looked at the Isle of Coll, the island that the fictional Isle of Struay in Katie Morag is based on. This week we are comparing the Isle of Coll with the island of Koh Samui in Thailand. Have a look at the introductions to these islands below. Think about the similiarities and differences between Koh Samui in Thailand and the Isle of Coll in Scotland. Record your ideas in a venn diagram to show which things are the same and which are different.
