Daily Maths
This week we are doing some consolidation work. We are going to be focusing on number bonds and recalling these facts really quickly.
We've made a video to introduce the challenge each day. Following the video please complete the challenge practically (using objects) and using the worksheet. Please also practise our week-long challenge to learn the number bonds rhyme.
Your child might be really quick at recalling these already so we’ve put some extra challenges and some further activities but our aim this week is rapid recall of the pairs of numbers that make 10.
Whole Week Challenge
We often learn through song and rhyme to help recall facts. Here is a number rhyme for the bonds to 10. Can you learn it?
Five and five can dance and jive.
Four and six, together we can fix.
Three and seven are a match made in heaven.
Two and eight will have to wait.
One and nine complete the rhyme.
Zero and ten make ten again.

We're lucky to have access to the brilliant game 'Numbots'.
