The club has two co-ordinators; one for the infants and one for the juniors. They have responsibility for leading the play provision and ensuring that activities run smoothly on a day-to-day basis in each of the two rooms. The club has received a grading of GOOD from Ofsted. The After School Club and Breakfast Club are overseen by the Headteacher who provides Senior Line Management for both clubs.
We pride ourselves on our ability to provide a stimulating, exciting environment for every child. Our aim is to create a warm and caring ethos that matches the provision within the working day of the school, yet feels a little more relaxed than when pupils are in the classroom during lessons. We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working person to join our existing team.

Clerk to the Governor Committees
Scarcroft Primary School are seeking to recruit a Clerk to prepare draft agendas, take minutes and organise distribution of papers for 12 meetings a year. The Clerk supports four committees, liaising as appropriate with the four committee chairs.
The meetings take place on Wednesday evenings from 5.30 to 7.30 pm with 4 meetings taking place each school term. Meeting dates are issued at the start of the year to provide plenty of notice of forthcoming commitments.
Prior to each meeting, the Clerk consults with each committee chair to draw up an agenda and issue accompanying papers seven workings day in advance of each meeting.
Following each meeting, the Clerk types up the minutes and forwards them to the relevant committee chair within 14 working days. On approval of the minutes at the subsequent meeting, the Clerk files the signed minutes and a sample agenda pack in the school’s hard copy files.
Each committee meeting is paid on the basis of:
- 30 minutes to agree the agenda and issue the papers
- 2.5 hrs for attendance at the meeting and filing
- 3 hrs for typing up the minutes
- 30 minutes make amendments as advised by the chair
This means that 6.5 hours are paid for each of the 12 meetings, ie a total of 78 hours per year which equates to 1.77 hrs per week.
The post will be paid as follows: Grade 5 Level 1-4 (£18,338 to £20,161 per annum) reduced pro-rata – Pay award pending
This equates to £9.50 - £10.45 per hour
